This is why we are focused on finding solutions to common problems through the use of creative and inspiring innovation, the enhancement of productivity and the promotion of coordinated efforts among all members. We are an association of motivated individuals, who provide capacity building programmes, incubation, starter pack for business growth, mentorship, access to market penetration.
Through our partnership with Delta State Government, Zenith bank, Ministry of Science and Technology, and other reputable organizations, we intend to bridge the gap of inadequate ICT skills by influencing the lives of youths of Delta State, especially those in the innovative and information technology sector who are aspiring to become successful entrepreneurs.
The programmes involves innovative implementation processes to ensure that it is not business as usual thereby ensuring that the expected results are delivered. The aim, in the long run, is to close the digital skill gap in Delta State and create a group of skilled and determined young SME operators who will turn the State’s economy around through technology.
Our key objective is to affect the economy positively, by contributing to the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state, contribute to GDP growth, create meaningful employment for all young Deltans, increase and add value to exportation, increase the industrial sector competitiveness, increase highly skilled ability and knowledge base whilst also increasing the technological innovation capabilities.
To boost the socio-economic well-being of the society by generating opportunities for profitable employment through empowering young people by providing access to appropriate and technological education, particularly for the indigenes of Delta State.
The start-up academy is to support the growth of committed persons who are passionate about the role of technology in transforming the state and the entire Nation. It is observed from experience that a lot of individuals especially youths and other business enterprise are interested in the application of technology to solve local problems and the goal of DSIHub is to continue to unearth such individuals/youths, and companies, to support them to bring their ideas/products to life within the state.
One of the essential ways this can become a reality is through the Start-up Academy programme in our innovation hub.
ICT for self-employment training is designed for participants who intend to acquire necessary ICT skills and set up technology-based businesses. It is mainly for those who are perfervid in developing themselves in the ICT world.
The ICT training for Self-employment offers advanced training on network devices and topology, infrastructure design and installation, router and switch configurations using GUI/CLI, PABX and IPBX installation, solar and inverter installation and repairs, network design and planning, business skills and project management, entrepreneurship and digital marketing skills and much more.

By the end of this programme, these 630 participants would have acquired hands-on skills needed to launch their businesses.
By the end of this programme, at least 75% of those trained in the ICT for self-employment programme would have started their businesses.
Two years after this programme, at least 30% of those trained will have successfully executed projects and employed 2-10 persons and show evidence of improved livelihood as a result of the training received.
